Poznań cultural climate is formed by the wide range of entertainment on offer. Major international events hosted here include: Malta Festival - the biggest theatre festival in Poland, Dancing Poznań - which has been attracting dancers from all over the world over twenty years.

A number of cycling paths existed in Poznań even before the war, but utility cycling barely survived the influx of cars experienced in the last decades. Recently, cycling traffic is firmly on the rise, and the infrastructure improvements follow. The city cycling policy has recently been certified after a Bicycle Policy Audit (BYPAD). A path along Warta river, serving the needs of both recreational and utility cyclists is among the key investments, followed by an expansion of the traffic calming zones and bikesharing scheme.
